Consumer Duty update

Following on from our weekly update yesterday, the FCA has now published their multi-firm review of firms’ implementation plans. They say that this identifies examples of good practice and areas where firms may need to improve their implementation approach to deliver the Duty’s standards on good consumer outcomes.

In our Weekly Update, I mentioned that we are in discussion with the FCA about concerns and questions that our members might have. One of our messages to the FCA and the FOS has been that they cannot just leave firms to interpret and implement the Consumer Duty and that we must work together.
