Consultation on Consumer Credit Act (CCA) 1974 reform

This consultation sets out the government’s proposal to reform the CCA. Due to the scale and complexity, the work will be split into two phases. This is the consultation for Phase 1 which seeks views on the proposals in relation to information requirements, sanctions and criminal offences.

FCA Financial Lives 2024 Survey

The FCA has published its Financial Lives 2024 survey, including our reports and available data. The main report details cross-sector findings, comparing the 2024 findings with results from the Financial Lives surveys conducted in 2022, 2020 and 2017.

The regulator has also released an accompanying press release highlighting the main findings.

Credit Information Market Study update

The FCA and the IWG have revised the approach to the IWG’s remaining work on recommendations for the design, implementation, and operation of the CRGB. Due to the dependencies between topics and the need for more industry consultation, the IWG’s final report will now be issued in May 2025, consolidating all topics and final recommendations.
