Anthropic will support the second group of firms in the FCA’s Supercharged Sandbox. The second cohort will explore AI applications including widening access to financial services for vulnerable and underserved consumers.

FOS Data: FOS received 53,600 cases in the first quarter of 2026/27

The FOS received 53,600 complaints between April and June 2026, 600 more than the previous quarter but significantly fewer than the 68,000 complaints received in the same period last year, when many cases related to motor finance commission.

The Money Charity: July Money Statistics published

The Money Charity has published its statistics for July. The figures highlight that:

  • inflation was 2.6%
  • the average credit card debt per UK household was £2,751 in May
  • the total unsecured debt per UK adult was £4,511
  • the total debt, secured and unsecured, per UK household was £67,802.
