This week has been another reminder that consumer credit remains firmly in the regulatory spotlight. The FCA has launched a national advertising campaign encouraging consumers not to use CMCs when making motor finance complaints. The message is clear: consumers can complain directly, free of charge. We welcome this initiative. The CCTA has consistently argued that consumers should receive clear, authoritative information directly from the regulator, reducing unnecessary costs and helping to limit speculative claims.
