The FCA has launched a review into the implications of advanced AI on consumers, retail financial markets and regulators. The Review will be led by Sheldon Mills and builds on the FCA’s existing work on AI. This includes its AI Discussion Paper, AI Sprint, and AI Lab including AI Live Testing and its Supercharged Sandbox supported by NVIDIA.

Sheree Howard, Executive Director of Authorisations, gave a speech at the FCA’s Gateway to growth event, Chicago Booth London Conference Centre. She said the FCA is actively welcoming applications from firms looking to take part in the UK market.

Sheree added that firms are encouraged to use FCA services so it can support firms in creating a stronger application and moving through the authorisations process more quickly and confidently.
