Financial wellbeing goes beyond one size fits all

Sarah Pritchard, FCA Deputy Chief Executive, gave a speech at The Investing and Saving Alliance’s (TISA) annual conference. Sarah said consumers have diverse and evolving needs, and we want to support them in making financial decisions.

She added that the FCA is considering where regulation may need to be reshaped, but the conversation around national risk appetite should involve regulators, government policy makers, politicians and consumers alike.

FCA Statement of Policy on statutory investigations into regulatory failure and producing reports

The FCA has reviewed its policy for investigating and reporting on regulatory failure to ensure it is fit for purpose given the time elapsed.

The only substantive change from the policy published in 2013 is that the regulator has revised the monetary thresholds for ‘significance’ of consumer detriment in line with inflation.
