The CCTA events diary is one of our most visited pages as it offers a comprehensive list of both CCTA and industry events. The diary itself is easy to navigate with each event listing the date, location and a booking form link.

To ensure high visibility throughout the website, links to the events diary are located on our homepage, website footer and top navigation. The diary not only lists upcoming CCTA events, but also industry conferences, webinars etc, which may be of interest to our general membership.

At CCTA we operate a free complaint conciliation service, an effective way of dealing promptly, sympathetically, and fairly with potential problems. We aim to offer reassurance to the public that all companies allied to us, trade with integrity or risk expulsion from the association. We are committed to campaigning for best practice in lending, and work continually to raise the standards and increase the visibility and credibility of our industry.

Our vision is to be ‘the’ credible, valued and trusted representative of consumer finance. Our mission is to translate the interest of our members to UK and European regulators.

It is difficult for any lone business to flex their muscles with regard to the barrage of regulatory reforms that seem to hit the credit industry on a regular basis.

Lobbying is at the heart of our association. Our ultimate aim is to ensure that the voice of our members is heard and understood on a wide landscape of issues, challenging on their behalf, the cost and burden that new law can bring.

Stakeholder Engagement

Developing and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders is an essential part of our work. On the political side, HM Treasury, the Treasury Select Committee, APPGs and parliamentarians all play a role in the structure and regulation of the sector. We engage with the debt advice arena, think tanks and academics on publications and research that may be relevant to our membership and the issues it faces.

Alongside this we work with the media, to speak on behalf of the alternative lending sector and challenge misconceptions. These engagements inform our work.

An invitation to be involved depends on the range of company products, and the ‘subjects of interest’ specified on the membership application form.

ROUNDTABLES by invitation - Limited roundtable numbers ensure all participants can join in the ‘lively debate’ that is the core of these get togethers. These meetings inform CCTA policy and regulatory and political engagement.
