Woman steals from employer to pay loan sharks

In a court case last week, a woman faced trial for fraud after stealing close to £100,000 from her employer to pay off loans sharks that she had borrowed from 4 years earlier. Working at an Estate Agents, she had access to bank accounts and used fake or exaggerated invoices to move money into accounts controlled by her. Her vulnerable situation was a mitigating factor but she was still handed a two-year suspended sentence.
