Which? has published its consumer agenda for the next government ahead of the 12 December 2019 General Election, setting out the commitments that it wants all political parties to make in order to deliver positive and tangible improvements for consumers in the UK. This includes expanding the consumer-enforcement remit of the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) to create a stronger Consumer and Competition Authority to proactively lead on the enforcement of consumer rights and fair trading law, and reform of the alternative dispute resolution (ADR) system.
