Industry News | 15/07/20

UK inflation has risen for the first time so far in 2020, figures from the ONS show. The Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month rate was 0.6% in June, up from 0.5% in May.
CPIH inflation – the ONS’ headline measure which includes owner occupiers’ housing costs – rose to 0.8% in June, up from 0.7% in May. The largest contribution to the CPIH 12-month inflation rate in June 2020 came from recreation and culture. Rising prices for games and clothing resulted in the largest upward contributions to the change between May and June.
