Regulatory Updates | 22/06/22
HM Treasury last week announced its intention to reform the Consumer Credit Act 1974. The announcement states that the government is committed to reforming the act, making it less burdensome and complex for both businesses and consumers and much of the act will move to a more agile regulatory framework sitting under the FCA’s remit. The first consultation will open before the end of the year.
