MEMBERSHIP TERMS & CONDITIONS
I/we declare that:
- I/we will observe the rules of membership of the association in force from time to time and acknowledge that I/we are bound by the Memorandum and Articles of Association (copies available on request).
- the following details will appear in the CCTA Member Database (accessible only to CCTA members): company name, business type, main website, general phone number, stated principal contact email only. None of your company or contact information will be shared with third parties. All contacts provided to CCTA can individually subscribe and unsubscribe from any of our communication lists at any point.
- I/we have read the CCTA Terms and Conditions of Membership in their entirety and accept and agree to be bound by the same and have noted that the Articles of Association are available on request.
- I/we are aware that the association may decline this application without stating a reason in which event it will return the membership application subscription fee.

As a result of logging on to the CCTA website you expressly accept the following terms and conditions. If any or all of them are not acceptable you must log off immediately.
Personal Data
CCTA adheres to all of the requirements of the Data Protection Act 2018 (the Act). By logging on to our site you may leave details in the records of our site of names and addresses which are personal data for the purposes of GDPR and the Act. By logging on you therefore consent to our use of that data for the purposes of contacting you or your firm or company to bring to your attention further information about the benefits of membership of CCTA or in order to bring to your attention details of products and services which are supplied by CCTA. You can opt out of receiving such information at any time. CCTA will make use of such data for no other purposes and will keep all such data secure and, except as stated below, will not pass such personal data to any other person. We use email links located in relevant parts of our website to enable you to contact us directly with any questions or comments you may have. We read every message sent in and try to reply promptly to everyone, this information is used to respond directly to your questions or comments. We may also file your comments to improve the site and program, or review and discard the information. Where you provide us with personal data relating to persons other than yourself you acknowledge to us that you are authorised by such persons to agree to the retention and use of that data by CCTA for the purposes outlined.
We improve our products and advertising by using Microsoft Clarity to see how you use our website. By using our site, you agree that we and Microsoft can collect and use this data. Our privacy statement has more details.

- Any material contained within this website is the copyright of CCTA and, other than excepted below, may not be downloaded, reproduced or used in any other way without the express consent in writing of CCTA.

Agreement Forms and any pre-contract disclosure documents (PCCI or PCI)
- Whilst every effort has been made to ensure the efficacy of the pre-contract disclosure documents and the Agreement Forms produced by the CCTA, neither the CCTA, as a trade association, nor any of its officers, accepts any responsibility for them or for the use to which they may be put and shall not be liable for any loss or damage which may arise from their use. You are urged to seek independent legal advice as to their form, content and intended use, before they are put to use.
- You will be notified by email when CCTA Agreements are amended in line with regulations.
Other Statutory Documents
- Whilst every effort has been made to ensure the efficacy of the notices, forms and documents produced by the CCTA, neither the CCTA, as a trade association, nor any of its officers, accepts any responsibility for them or for the use to which they may be put and shall not be liable for any loss or damage which may arise from their use. You are urged to seek independent legal advice as to their form, content and intended use, before they are put to use.
- You will be notified by email when CCTA Statutory Documents are amended in line with regulations.
Advice Line
- Any information, guidance or advice given, or suggestion made, to a member by the CCTA, or any of its officers, does not constitute legal or other professional advice. Whilst provided in good faith and believed to be accurate, their application to any specific situation depends on the law, rules and/or practices as interpreted and on the circumstances prevailing at any given time and may also be affected by any detail of which we are unaware. Neither the CCTA, as a trade association, nor any of its officers, shall be liable for any loss or damage, which may arise from reliance upon the same. Specific legal advice should be sought before taking any action based on any such information, guidance or advice given, or suggestion made.
APR and Early Settlement Calculator
- Annual Percentage Rate (APR and APRC) and Early Settlement calculators are available to members to download from the members’ area of the CCTA website. The calculators are provided by a third party software company and the CCTA is not able to verify their performance, accuracy or reliability. Neither the association, nor any of its officers, assumes any responsibility for them including, without limitation, their performance, accuracy or reliability or the generated resultant calculations.
By applying for membership the applicant acknowledges that the above exclusions of liability provisions are reasonable having regard amongst other things, to the objects of the association, the subscription payable for membership of the association and the availability to the member of other sources of guidance, advice or assistance.
Payment
Subscription payments are confirmed on an individual basis in an email to all new and renewing members. Prices are exclusive of VAT, at the current rate, and must be paid at the time of subscription to the association.
EVENTS TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. CONFERENCE:
Cancellation Policy
- payment due on receipt of invoice
- no refund will be given for cancellations made four weeks prior to event
- substitutions can be made at any time and at no extra cost.
Hotel Policy
- check-in time is from 3pm on the day of arrival
- check-out time is 12pm on the day of departure
- the accommodation charge will be included in your delegate booking invoice
- payment is due on receipt of invoice in order to secure the room
- no refund will be given for room cancellations made less than six weeks prior to event
- Once our allocation of rooms has been filled, delegates will need to book accommodation directly with Radisson Blu Manchester Airport.
Terms And Conditions
CCTA reserves the right to cancel a conference/gala dinner in the event that there are insufficient numbers of attendees to make the conference/gala dinner economically viable or in the event of any occurrence, act or omission outside the control of CCTA. If the conference/gala dinner is cancelled in such circumstances, a full refund of the payment made for the event will be given, but nothing more. Attendees at the CCTA conference/gala dinner will behave in a fit and proper manner and will be responsible for any damages however so caused, arising out of the attendees negligence and/or breach of contract, and will keep CCTA indemnified against any such claim.
2. TRAINING
Cancellation Policy

Terms and Conditions
CCTA reserves the right to cancel a training course in the event that there are insufficient numbers of attendees to make the course economically viable or in the event of any occurrence, act or omission outside the control of CCTA. If the course is cancelled in such circumstances, a full refund of the payment made for that course will be given, but nothing more. Attendees at CCTA training courses will behave in a fit and proper manner and will be responsible for any damages, howsoever caused, arising out of the attendees negligence and/or breach of contract, and will keep CCTA indemnified against any such claim.
Any notes or course material (‘Material’) provided by CCTA is to assist delegates during the seminar and also to provide a permanent record of the material presented. The Material is not a full and definitive statement of the law and should not be used by delegates as the basis for decisions and actions taken in the course of business, since specific advice can only be provided following a full understanding of the individual circumstances of any particular issue. All reasonable effort is made to ensure that the content of any seminar is accurate. However neither CCTA, including employees of CCTA, or any presenter can accept any liability whatsoever for any inaccuracy contained within it. CCTA accepts no liability whatsoever for any damage or loss, direct or indirect, which may be suffered as a result of any reliance placed upon the information provided whether arising in contract, tort or in any other way. The purpose of the seminar is to provide general guidance or general information only. Advice should always be taken from your legal advisor before committing to any specific action.
3. SEMINARS:

Attendees at CCTA training courses will behave in a fit and proper manner and will be responsible for any damages, howsoever caused, arising out of the attendees negligence and/or breach of contract, and will keep CCTA indemnified against any such claim.
PUBLICATION/ADVERTISING TERMS & CONDITIONS
Magazine Editorial
- CCTA may decline your application without stating a reason.
- CCTA reserves the right to edit any article in line with association policy. You will be provided with a finished draft for approval and sign off before artwork handover. You will have 24 hours (Monday to Friday) to agree any amendments, before final sign off.
- CCTA reserves the right to cancel the distribution of any publication in the event of any occurrence, act or omission outside the control of CCTA. In such circumstances, a full refund of the payment made for the sponsored article will be given, but nothing more.
- CCTA accepts no liability whatsoever for any damage or loss, direct or indirect, which may be suffered as a result of the publication of a sponsored article.
- submitting your article for inclusion will indicate your consent to the above terms and conditions.
Delegate Brochure Editorial
- CCTA may decline your application without stating a reason.

- CCTA reserves the right to cancel the distribution of any publication or mail shot it deems to be economically unviable.
- CCTA reserves the right to cancel any training event where there are an insufficient number of attendees to make the event economically viable, or in the event of any occurrence, act or omission outside the control of CCTA. In such circumstances, a pro rata refund of the full payment made for the sponsorship will be given, but nothing more i.e. for one cancelled training course out of a potential 15, one fifteenth of the total sponsorship charge will be refunded etc.
