The Consumer Credit Trade Association (CCTA) is one of the oldest trade associations in the UK. Established in 1891, we have a long and influential history. We strive to guide our members through industry changes, offering uncompromising practical help. We work constructively with policymakers, regulators, and Government. The association seeks to shape a single voice representing our industry on the wide range of issues it faces and ensuring responsible access to credit for all.

We provide insight and expertise from our stakeholder engagement and an extensive network of lenders and associates, sharing experience, knowledge and the vision of a balanced, transparent, and thriving arena. We are passionate about our industry and welcome like-minded businesses.

From this page you can

  • buy our credit agreements
  • join us at our annual conference.

But that’s not all we do – if you would like all of the above services for less, why not consider membership and the substantial discounts that brings. Stakeholder Engagement

Developing and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders is an essential part of our work. On the political side, HM Treasury, the Treasury Select Committee, APPGs and parliamentarians all play a role in the structure and regulation of the sector. We engage with the debt advice arena, think tanks and academics on publications and research that may be relevant to our membership and the issues it faces.

Alongside this we work with the media, to speak on behalf of the alternative lending sector and challenge misconceptions. These engagements inform our work.
