The ASA issued new guidance on the advertising of buy-no pay-later services. The guidance covers buy-now pay-later services that are not regulated by the FCA.
The guidance is intended to prevent marketing communications for buy-now pay-later products from misleading their audience. In particular, it advises marketers on how to ensure that consumers understand the service being offered, particularly that it is a form of credit, so they are not misled.
