Mark Carney outlines the Bank of England’s priorities on climate change

The Governor of the Bank of England, Mark Carney, speaking at the European Commission Conference ‘A global approach to sustainable finance’ has said that, in order to transition to a low-carbon economy, it is important companies have the right information, risk management and public policy frameworks. Mr Carney placed emphasis on improving reporting and an expectation on companies to carry out a scenario analysis to assess risks.
