Joint campaign to tackle illegal money lending and loan sharks

This week, the England Illegal Money Lending Team (IMLT) is partnering with Potteries Moneywise and MoneyLine to carry out a 2-day ‘Tackle Loan Sharks’ campaign in Stoke. The event is to raise awareness of Illegal Money Lending and identifying and tackling loan sharks that take advantage of people in financial difficulty. The event runs from 20th to 21st June and officers from all 3 agencies are available to speak to members of the public about illegal money lending, budgeting and energy advice and provide real alternatives and assistance for those struggling financially.
