ICO updates guidance on AI and data protection

The Information Commissioners Office (ICO) last week updated their Guidance on Artificial Intelligence and Data Protection. The changes respond to requests from UK industry to clarify requirements for fairness in AI. This is a key area of focus for the ICO under their ICO25 commitments, supporting the government’s mission to ensure that the UK’s regulatory regime keeps pace with and responds to new challenges and opportunities presented by AI.
