ICO – January Figures published

In January 2019, the number of spam SMS messages reported to the ICO increased, up 294 concerns and 30%. Bucking the usual trend, gambling was not the most reported SMS topic in January and was instead replaced by Payday Loans. The latter topic saw the biggest increase month on month, up 62 concerns and 177%.
