ICO fines another lead generation firm

This month, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) has fined a lead generation firm for making unsolicited marketing calls to consumers listed on the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). After receiving a number of complaints about the firm, the ICO found that, between January and August last year, the company had made close to 100,000 unsolicited direct marketing calls.
