ICO data security incident trends published

The Information Commissioners Office (ICO) have published their latest statistics in relation to data security incidents reported to them over Q4 of 2022 (October to December). In the quarter, 2265 data security incidents were reported to the ICO, a 5% decrease from the same quarter last year. For the financial services industry, this accounted for 230 reported incidents, of which 99 were cyber-related incidents and 131 were non-cyber related. You can access full details here.
