House of Lords Committees investigating the impact of COVID-19

Three House of Lords committees are investigating the impact of COVID-19 on government powers, people’s lives and the changing world of work and have issued a call for views. The Constitution Committee is investigating the ability of Parliament to hold the government to account, the scrutiny of emergency powers and the operation of the courts. Call for evidence closes: Thursday 20 August.

The COVID-19 Committee is looking at the long-term implications of the pandemic for the economy and society, especially in light of the systemic inequalities the pandemic has highlighted and deepened. Call for evidence closes: 31 August 2020.

The Economic Affairs Committee is examining the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the labour market and considering what urgent measures should be taken to protect and create jobs. Call for evidence closes: 10 September 2020.
