HM Treasury issues feedback to its March 2019 consultation on UK implementation of the 5th Money Laundering Directive

In April 2019, HM Treasury launched a consultation outlining how the government intends to implement the 5th Money Laundering Directive (MLD5). The consultation closed on 10 June 2019, with the government receiving over 200 responses. This document summarises the responses and sets out the government’s approach. The UK implementing legislation for MLD5 took effect on 10 January 2020.
