Highlights of the FCA’s approach in 2022

In a press release issued before Christmas, the provided some highlights to their new three-year strategy, which was announced in April 2022. The FCA state that they had removed or amended over 8,000 potentially misleading adverts in 2022- 14 times more than 2021. They also cancelled the authorisations of over 200 firms for failing to meet the minimum standards. The regulator says that this action reflects their increasingly data-led and assertive approach.
