Google takes aim at exploitative debt advisers in advertising crackdown

Google is targeting paid-for debt advice firms masquerading as free debt charities in a tightening of its rules on advertising. Telegraph Money warned earlier this summer that firms which charge vulnerable people for debt management services were paying to be “promoted” in Google searches for charities like StepChange and the National Debtline.
