General Court of the EU examines the position of ‘effective director’ under CRD IV

The General Court of the EU has ruled that a person cannot at the same time be both chair of a board of directors and hold the position of ‘effective director’ in credit institutions which are subject to prudential supervision under the Capital Requirements Directive IV.
