FRC publishes latest Annual Review of the UK Corporate Governance Code

In its latest annual review of the UK Corporate Governance Code, the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has noted that if companies are to exhibit their positive impact on the economy and wider society, they must improve their governance practices and reporting. Whilst acknowledging the raised bar in corporate reporting, which came about as a result of the 2018 Code, they state that greater focused is needed on issues including diversity, stakeholder engagement and the importance of corporate culture.
