FOS – Our future funding – a consultation

FOS are looking to rebalance the proportion of their income they get from the industry levy compared with case fees.
Current funding: 85% case fees, 15% levy.
Proposal: 50% case fees, 50% levy.
They are also looking to change the number of “free” cases to 10 per firm (down from the current 25) and to 50 per group within their group account fee arrangement. The consultation closes on 13 August. FOS will consider responses and publish a summary later in 2019.
