FCA warns about the misuse of trading names

FCA WARNS ABOUT THE MISUSE OF TRADING NAMES

In the FCA’s October Regulation Round-Up newsletter, the regulator has warned firms about the misuse of trading names. They have seen evidence of trading names which are either misleading, appear to circumvent the AR regime or names that are not accurately registered. Consequently, the regulator has updated the information on their webpage about trading names and advise that they will use their powers to intervene, if necessary.
