FCA to ban marketing of speculative mini-bonds to retail customers
Regulatory Updates | 26/11/19
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is to exercise its product intervention powers to ban the promotion of speculative mini-bonds to retail consumers. The FCA’s powers allow it to introduce the restriction without consultation ahead of the ISA season. The restriction will come into force on 1 January 2020 and will last for 12 months while the FCA consults on permanent rules.
