FCA speech: Do the right thing

The FCA’s Joint Executive Director of Enforcement and Market Oversight, Therese Chambers, delivered a speech this month at the City & Financial FCA Investigations and Enforcement Summit. In the speech she talked about firms doing the right thing and swiftly addressing any shortcomings on regulatory compliance. She praised some firms for acting promptly to address consumer harm and warned that firms will see a stronger alignment between its enforcement and its 2022-25 strategy plan. She pointed out that the regulator issued fines in excess of £215 million and started or completed enforcement action against numerous individuals.
