FCA policy statement on extension of SM&CR implementation deadlines for solo-regulated firms

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has published policy statement PS20/12, Extending the implementation deadlines for the Certification Regime and Conduct Rules. The policy statement sets out the FCA’s final rules and summarises the feedback received to its consultation on extending implementation deadlines for the Certification Regime and Conduct Rules, and its responses to that feedback. The policy statement confirms that the deadline for the following requirements has been extended from 9 December 2020 to 31 March 2021.
The FCA encourages firms to meet the original 9 December 2020 deadline wherever possible.
