FCA issues reminder to Principal firms with ARs

In last weeks ‘Regulation Round Up’ newsletter from the FCA, the regulator issued a reminder to Principal firms in respect of notifications to the FCA for changes to Appointed Representative (AR) details. They pointed out that their analysis of Companies House shows that some Principal firms fail to notify the FCA when their Appointed Representatives (ARs) enter administration, liquidation or dissolution, as well as changes to names or trading names. They also remind Principal firms of the new rules which can into force on 8^th December 2022. Today is also the last day to respond to the FCA’s Section 165 data request in respect of ARs.
