FCA issues Consumer Duty message to consumers

As industry reached the deadline day for Consumer Duty implementation this week, the FCA published a message to consumers. Within the message, the regulator advised consumers that the duty is now in place for regulated firms and that they can expect firms to be open and honest, avoid consumer harm and offer products and services that meet their needs. The message also sets out avenues for consumers to take where they have problems with their providers.
