Regulatory Updates | 20/03/20

The Finanical Conduct Authority (FCA) has published guidance for mortgage lenders, mortgage administrators, home purchase providers and home purchase administrators on their treatment of customers in light of COVID-19. The guidance is also relevant to authorised persons carrying on activity in relation to an unregulated agreement to provide credit which is secured on land and to compliance with the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 (SI 2008/1277), which are relevant to non-authorised persons to whom rights under a mortgage contract have been assigned.
