FCA consults on new authorisations gateway

The FCA has today launched a consultation on proposals to operate a new authorisations gateway for those firms wanting to continue approving financial promotions for unauthorised persons. Currently, whilst any authorised firm is allowed to approve financial promotions on behalf of other firms who are not authorised, changes being introduced by Parliament will require authorised firms to undergo new screening checks before being allowed to approve financial promotions. The consultation closes on 7th February 2023.
