European Data Protection Board consultation related to connected vehicles and mobility related applications

The European Data Protection Board have launched a consultation proposing draft guidelines on how personal data is processed with regard to the non-professional use of connected vehicles by data subjects. The consultation focuses on how personal data is used when it is exchanged between the vehicle and personal devices it may be connected to, processed within the vehicle or collected within the vehicle and exported to external entities for further processing. Consultation ends: 20 March 2020.
