Data Protection & Digital Information Bill back in Parliament

The ICO have confirmed that the Data Protection & Digital Information (DPDI) Bill was re-introduced to Parliament last week. Information Commissioner, John Edwards said that the Bill which has aims to enable growth and innovation within firms whilst maintaining high standards of data protection rights will also enable the ICO to continue to be a fair and trusted independent regulator going forward. The ICO will work with the government with the aim of getting the Bill through Parliament.
