Consumer groups press Chancellor on BNPL regulation

The BNPL sector recently met with the Chancellor and the Treasury to warn them about the possible effects of heavy regulation of the sector. Following the meeting, recent media coverage and speculation suggested that the Chancellor was looking to shelve or delay regulation in the BNPL sector. However, consumer groups, including Citizens Advice have written an open letter to the Chancellor asking him to rethink any plans on shelving regulation of the sector, and to protect consumers from financial harm.
