Consultation on cold calling ban for financial products and services

The Treasury has this week launched a consultation on banning cold calling for consumer financial products and services. In attempt to further counter fraud and scams that cause consumer harm, the consultation looks at proposals for banning cold calling on financial products and services such as credit, debt, mortgages, insurance and investment. The Treasury is calling for input and insights on the impacts on these proposals. The consultation closes on 27th September 2023.
