CMA issues enforcement order on proposed Provident NSF deal

The CMA has served an initial enforcement order under section 72(2) of the Enterprise Act 2002 in relation to the proposed deal. This prevents merging parties from taking pre-emptive action that might prejudice the outcome of any potential investigation by the CMA or impede the regulator.
