The City of London Corporation has published proposals aimed at helping the Square Mile recover from the economic damage caused by the pandemic.
The report, produced in partnership with consultants Oliver Wyman and Arup, sets out detailed recommendations to boost the capital’s recovery and enhance its long-term competitiveness.
Proposals include flexible season tickets for rail travel, more affordable workplaces for smaller businesses and better designed buildings to accommodate remote working practices. It also suggests streamlining financial services and tech regulations, improving coordination between different regulators and conducting a review of listings rules to ensure London’s competitiveness relative to other financial centres.
