BSB publishes 2018 annual review of banking culture
Industry News | 02/04/19
The Banking Standards Board (BSB) has published its annual review for 2018/2019. This information assists BSB to build a picture of how far individual firms, and firms collectively, demonstrate characteristics that it would expect to be associated with good organisational culture. Survey scores in 2018 showed, on average, that the gains of the previous year were maintained in 2018 but not, on aggregate, extended, despite the ongoing investment of time and resource by firms in managing their cultures. However the scale of participation in the Assessment exercise, as well as firms’ engagement with the BSB’s work more broadly, signals a strong commitment on the part of member firms to continuous improvement and to raising standards across the sector.
