A new UK prudential regime for MiFID investment firms – FCA consultation

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has announced the first of three consultations (CP20/24) on a new prudential regime for UK firms authorised under Directive 2014/65 (Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID)), which will be introduced in January 2022. The consultation seeks views on the categorisation of investment firms, prudential consolidation and the group capital test, own funds, concentration risk monitoring and reporting requirements. Consultation ends: 5 February 2021.
